i love college

college is great. it's like having a sleepover all the time, except i actually have to do work sometimes.
i went home this weekend for the first time, and it was.. not as amazing as i would have expected. but i saw pretty much everyone who's still home, with the notable exceptions of keith and ally but i'll probably be seeing them next weekend. hopefully! friday night was alana and laura night, we reunited and went to barnes and noble and watched fever pitch and drove aimlessly and listened to bedtime magic.. i wish we wouldn't do such badass things sometimes. it was wonderful to see them again, and things with them were just like always. saturday i worked for most of the day, but not the fun holden's kind of working.. tommy and i mowed my lawn and the 2 next door and pulled weeds from the craxks in my aunt's driveway and trimmed hedges and did other shitty things. it was so funny to be back at work, it's so different with the new setup and the security camera.. suckas.. but it was fun hangin out there like old times. saturday night i was gona get a big group together but i kinda forgot that most elements of a big group aren't in peabody anymore. so it was just laura, colbert, jocelyn and i and we went to friendly's just for memory's sake..cause no matter how shitty that place is, we have had some good times there.. mainly because that's probably the only place that will seat a group of 15 at 11 at night. later we met up with katrina and eric and watched poltergeist.. completely hilarious and not at all scary... the next day alana and laura and i were supposed to go to the muffin factory but umm i slept through it.. lol. that afternoon i went to target, where i fatefully bumped into allison, which made me really happy, and then bought way too much. i went home and packed sooo much stuff.. i looked like i was moving in to college again.. then i went to my grandparents' for dinner with my relatives, and my aunt and uncle and cousins who live in portsmouth brought me back up here.
i'm so glad to be back. i love home and everybody there but this is definitely where i should be right now and i'm so happy. i can't believe how much time i spent dreading college.. it's crazy. this weekend was great, but it was also harder to be back than i thought it was going to be. i spent some time feeling really shitty. over something completely unexpected yet not too unusual that i'm very glad to have escaped from.
anyway, now i'm here. i'm very obsessed with the red sox right now.. we are tied with new york for the AL title and with ny and cleveland for the wild card.. today was a double header and we went 1-1 vs. toronto, which sucks cause ny and cleveland both lost and that would have been our chance to get ahead. we have 5 games left i believe, the rest of this series and then.. the yankees.. so i will pretty much be obsessed until then and hopefully longer! p.s. edgar renteria is my hero.
and i need to stop eating the fudge my grandmother made for me.. somebody needs to come and eat it right now so i don't.
